Yea that's what I figured. Dagnabbit. Even though the settings are "ANYONE - DOES NOT REQUIRE SIGN IN" they would only show up if I signed into a google account.

Yea I don't really know diddly about grading e-waste. I've only ever done straight metals. Cu/Pb/Fe/etc.
Speaking of which... I need to find a place up here to turn in my couple hundred pounds of wheel weights I've been collecting.

I've only just decided to get into this because seriously drinking 3-4 cases of High Life a week sitting around doing nothing after work has been a bit of a drain on my wallet and my liver.
I figured I have access to these, might as well get into it.
All else I've ever really done is in the summer pulling wire and harvesting wheel weights at junk yards.

There's a couple members on here not too far from me.
Maybe ScrapperSkip or Armygreywolf wouldn't mind trading some knowledge for free labor or... some nice things.

There are many buyers right here on the forums if you can't find something to work locally.

Just read the reviews, send them some photos, get your answers an go from there. It's as easy as that.

Sirscrapalot - Only the buyers the can tell you what your board is worth. - Most of us at some point here on the forums.

I pulled a few apart in my sparetime today. 90% of these are Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony. A few junk dvd players and then junk OE parts.

The 5 I took apart all were green on both sides. For all boards. Some had way fewer chips and such on them. Ones with more functionality especially the ones with built-in HD tuners had more. I have all the time in the world. My username is about 99.9% representative of my day to day. Its only DSR for weekends lol.

I have a couple of the DC converters from hybrids too. Cant wait to pop those open.

By "all boards" I meant the display and opti drive boards too.

I like your name by the way. Spend enough time around the forums an you'll understand.

Keep posting those pics of the boards as you can please, I for one am interested in them. Never know maybe someday I'll find a contact with similar product. So you'll be helping us out with reporting back on your results an all the good stuff you lean about them.

Would you like me to come out and have a look next week? Worst thing that could happen is shred price (about ten cents a pound) The motherboard of the radio is chinese even if it's colored green meaning it's the same as low grade mobo...maybe not quite without the gold contacts and such. The logic boards for the drive are worth something in most cases...but these are minus the pinouts so I can't say for sure. Sure are excellent candidates for depopulation of the ICs and ta caps (I saw a few in those pics).

That's assuming non-working units...as stated above if it works it's worth more than scrap unless its obselete...CDs aren't quite obselete yet.

Labor is the issue, how long did it take you to break down one of those. Theres a reason I don't break down ECMs...they are very high quality boards but can take an hour to bake them and pry them out of the glue in the case.

There's other things at your yard I'd pay for that they just destroy on a whim. The ECM connectors I will pay for...varies by manufacturer but there's that. In the first gen ON Star GM cars 2001-2005 the unit in the trunk is worth something. Don't forget the lead wheel weights. On 2nd/3rd and 4th gen 60 degree v6 GM cars the upper intake manifold is seriously easy to remove (less than 30 seconds with cordless impact) and is an easy 7 lbs of cast aluminum...what else...oh right R134a recovery. The stuff is worth nearly 10 bucks a pound right now so there's no reason to NOT sell it.
