    Its the future, one day you will not actually even own the item you buy, you will just 'rent it' until its out of date or its guarantee finishes.
    Then you 'get' a new one.



    And all the metals inside will stay on the firms (ie, apples) books and you will have to pay if they don't get it back.

    Long ago some of the first light bulbs had filiments made of osmium. You rented the bulb, they had to be returned when no longer working.
