    Cisco VoIP Phones

I have ~300 Cisco VoIP phones. The majority of them are Cisco 7942's, old but working and not end-of-life according to Cisco. ~30 of them are 8900 series color display phones, the rest are 7940 and conference 8800 series. (I do have them inventoried in a spreadsheet) I have seen those places/websites that supposedly buy them etc... but not sure the best place to try and sell or to recycle/scrap etc... Suggestions?

I have a stack of like 100 ip phones that I have had sitting for a while. I listed them on ebay and they didnt sell. Even for a price that was boarder-line me giving them away for free. I think now I am just hanging onto them until my next pallets goes out to e-wasted, hopefully they take them as "tear-apart" or some other such category. Dont really care what I get for them just need them to go somewhere! Scrap yard would frown upon me putting them in with shred but they probably wouldn't care too much with some of the stuff Ive seen them let go in the pile.

Not doing it at the moment for lack of time and phone volume but have had gtsv office phone success selling to teleconnectdirect.com in the past. And whoever is your closest or preferred ewaste buyer should have a category called Office Phones that should be between .15-.25/lb most likely at the moment.

I know ewasted and other mail-in buyers places have a category for them, I may just hang on to them until I have another pallet ready and put them on there.

A while ago I got a big lot of the same phones too, mostly Cisco 7940 and some 7942.
I tried selling them, both ebay and to some online buyers, there was no interest. I ended up scrapping them, the boards are quite nice, and I got a good price for them.

Cisco phones were good for resale when you could sell them on Amazon. Once amazon made a deal with cisco everyone tried selling on ebay and it crashed the market lol.

Sometimes if i need work i'll pull boards but honestly they just go in shred most of the time.

I get away with a lot when it comes to what i can throw on the shred steel pile...results may vary haha

Smash the side to open, pry out the boards with a claw hammer

So far no one wants them. I have disassembled 40 of them (7940's and 7942's) just to see what I get at a yard for the boards and insulated copper etc...

I got almost 50 cents per phone (40 phones got $19 total) mostly for the boards and insulated copper, but I have to dispose of the LCD's and plastic cases.
