Recently I got paid for some telecom board and I didn't even know that I had any.
I'm guessing this was the board in the satellite receiver box I broke down. What else has telecom boards?

How bout this one? I got a board that's about 12" long has a row of IC chips that at first looked like gold then I looked closer and looks like there is copper windings inside the chips.
Would need to see a pic but sounds more like mini transformers the ic chips. I found boards that sound like that in a older lcd monitor. threw it in the low grade but I could be wrong on yours happyscrapper.
Here's a short description from one buyer: http://www.boardsort.com/telecom.html
However, different buyers seem to have different requirements for what you need to remove to get the "telecom" grade. For instance, I pulled out some boards from network equipment. Those boards have blocks of female network jacks "wrapped" in steel. Another buyer told me I would only get telecom grade if I remove those.
Thanks for all the info
telecom boards can be found in digital phone systems. I'm talking about the large cabinets where the phone cords go in. Found a bunch of these. Some have more chips then others. Just depends on their brand. Some of the boards have gold fingers, gold pins, and a backplane board.
