Pallet Jack for inside enclosed trailer or box truck

I finally bought a new trailer. Had it custom made. (I couldn't find a cheap used one). 22' X 8'6" double rear doors, no dove tail, 48" side door, 5200lb axles, stouter floor, etc. After taxes it was $4800. I had to pick it up at factory though.

Anyway, my question is what size/type of pallet jack do people use for inside a box truck or trailer? I tried the mini from Northern tool, and it was a little too small and would only jack up about 500lbs (1100lb capacity) so I took it back. I looked around online and it seems anytime you deviate from standard size the price goes up from $200 to over $600.

Your standard jack will lift 5000lbs and be made. To lift. A 48inch pallat

Yes.. Newer box trucks are 8' 3" I think inside. Full sized pallet jacks work perfect inside them. Unfortunately that is how I am loading for now lol.

I have a few and the narrow ones are terrible for heavy pallets. I have a 1950's one with wide feet and it is the best one we have. Spin on the front wheels. Depending where you are get one on an industrial auction. I bought all but one of mine like that. most expensive one was 50.00 I have never had to work on any of them. Ran over one with the loader and had to toss it in the shearing tub but that was no fault of the jack.

I can fit 6 48x42 pallets in a standard box truck with a normal harbor freight pallet jack.

Mechanic pallet jacks when loaded can cut a nasty turn. I load with a fork lift instead of a lift gate then the pallet jack is inside the box truck and I swing the pallets around and push them against the wall, keep loading.

Good deal for a new one, everybody's charging that much for used around here

Same here, that's why I went ahead and bought a new one. the used ones were literally the same price or more.
