Reliable wire stripper?

Hey guys looking for a reliable wire stripper, that's under 100 bucks that's actually worth buying, and doesn't require a drill. Anyone have any suggestions any info would,be great- ma scraps

Ive been using one like this and so far no problems (I think mine was $80 shipped). I have probably stripped a few hundred pounds of wire ranging from 14 awg to welding cable, etc with no problems. It takes a little bit to get used. I ended up ditching the wire guide with the eyehooks, they are very a very thing gauge metal and would break after a while of running heavier wire through it. I would say it is well worth the investment for myself and has paid for itself numerous times over. I hope this helped, good luck!

I have had good luck with this one

I no longer use it manually, but use it with a drill. However its weakness is that adjusting for wire thickness is not as easy. I paid $30 and did $93 bucks of wire in about an hour my first time using it. Just my experience

most strippers I know are not very.....OH waite you said wire strippers , I thought you said wier strippers, never mind.

That's the same one I bought last week. Havn't been able to take my hands off her yet. She's a hard working stripper.

Have you looked at the thread where you make you own out of a 2 X 4 and sharpened drywall screws? Seems to work well on stranded type wires. Not to mention its cheap, Mike.

I have been looking for that thread where did you find it. Tried search now just going thru posts lol
