ok before all you noobs jump on me, for pay back, there is an unwriten rule we are allowed one noob question every 100 posts.

been on the net for a couple hours looking for a source of star bits without having to buy 100 jubk bits to get one star. I specifically need 5,6,7,8. had to buy 4 crap sets yesterday to get 4 bits I needed. any one know a source that sells individual bits ?

that should take to to the "index" of individual torx bits, they have them in all lengths to for whatever your doing, i prefer the power bits that fit right in the quick change chuck of a cordless driver

I need to get a new set also. But until then I've found that the right size flat head will fit stars.

I get individual bits from a local lumber yard/hardware store. He keeps a bunch loose in a basket. You have to sort through them to find what you want, but they're only .04 apiece, if I remember right.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I like to go to Grainger. They also sell all of the Security Bits if any one is looking for them.

You need to stock up and resell them here as Ace hardware and a couple others do sell the individual bits but at $1.59-2.99 each.
We'd make you a rich man as many sets and bits we go thru, I just ordered another set for just 2 bits I needed.

When you get some time to search them out locally and got the spare cash.....their precision tools are excellent.......micro stuff, handled and driver bits, you name it.
