    I've never had a problem keeping it where it usually is, underneath the bed in between the rear axle and rear bumper. When I bought that s10, being a bare-bones base model, it didn't have a full size spare, just a donut (travesty for a truck, compact or 1/2 ton full size alike). Somebody put the next size up optional size on it (had 235/70R15 originally, prior owner went to the next available OEM size 235/75R15) and I decided to get a fullsize spare, which I would have done anyway, regardless of what tire size it originally had...
