*Kicking self for stupidity*

*Enters thread grumbling*

the night I tore up the golf cart I left a bucket of tools in the back of my truck along with my sawzall and it friggin rained



Tools are my life and I have never done that before. I simply forgot the dang bucket was back there because I usually put it in the front of the truck with me but had bags of birdseed and other misc and stuck it in the back this time. I've been scrubbing tools with wire wool and PB Blaster all day long.

Let this be a lesson and NOT do as I did but do as I should have

awww I'm sorry that happened. We all do silly things that we want to kick our-self for later. I've found multiple tools that were rusted and I soaked them in shallow water with a half can of barskeep. Barely had to put in any effort to get the rust off and now I've got lots of wrenches, drill bits and spade bits that I never had before

You cant fix stupid. As much as I try, its gonna happen again to me soon...maybe tomorrow

It's like Ajax or Comet, but it's a yellow can. You can get it like 2/100 at Family Dollar and then 1.00 at all the regular dollar stores.

Thanks Mechanic, I didn't even say the name right. And it's gold not yellow... hmmm better see about getting glasses!

No matter what my things end up wet,I just oil it up if its metal and it cleans up nice.

Can take some tools apart easily to ensure they are dry

twist a few bolts with em, it'll wear right off

Spray it with WD-40. That's what it was made for - "water displacement". Works like a charm and it only took them 40 formulas to get it perfect.
