Are you using a server/high powered desktop to test those all at once? That seems like it would take a lot of system resources to do all 4 at the same time.

Im using a dual core with 4gb of ram. It does slow the machine down some but I will only do 4 at a time like before I go to bed or work that way it can run and be done when I get home.

nice! You need to save a quad core machine to use it on. Your primary CPU will basically be concerned with managing the OS, and the remaining CPUs can concentrate on the drive testing

Funny you mention that. Im building a new test machine as we speak. I have to clean up my office first and do the other 40 things im trying to get done at the same time. But I will get there.

Question: I'm doing the same thing and basically have to format the drive first. Once its formatted, I run the Eraser program on it. Once done, and it shows no errors, is that considered a "working" drive? Or is there another program needed to test diagnostics?

Personaly I test all my drives for health as well. Programn I use is HDtuner. It has to have 0 errors or bad sectors before I sell them.
