    Best Tool received/found free on the job

    I am working a clean-out job right now and found a dremel tool. Thing was a bit wet from sitting in a box that was outside while it was snowing. Brought it all home and let it dry out for a while. Plugged it in and it spun up. No bits for it though. Picked up a kit with a bunch of bits and the wrench for it. Only spent $20 on that. I spent 10 minutes using it to cut the sides open on 25 magnetrons so I could pull out all the fins, magnets and such. (I know a grinder would have also worked and probably much faster, or even a hammer. But since the tool was free.....)

    Wondering if anyone else has found anything interesting/helpful while out on the job.

    Of course. I just nipped the outer shell so I could get to everything else. All the pink pills are in a bucket till I figure out what to do with them

    I've found a lot of tools, two that stick out I got on a clean out, I got a slide handle bead breaker for tires retailed for over 200 I think I got 100 for it, industrial battery charger that charges 6vt 12vt 24vt retailed I think for 499.99 still using it today. I've gotten more hand tools than I can count including two full socket sets, set of t-handle Allen wrenches metric and standard on and on and on

    I got a two post hydraulic car lift from an auto shop that I tore down. A car had caught fire in the shop and burned. Everyone thought all the tools were ruined, but the lift was only smoked up. It cleaned up well and worked after a little rewiring. It is now mounted in my buddy's shop where I can use it when I need it. He helped me get it out, so we got a tool for him also, an alignment machine that also still works.

    I don't know if you call it a tool but I found a nice toro snow blower this summer that I finally got to use yesterday. Worked great.

    I have found more tools than i can count but the best tool found is my dewalt sawzall with case and 5 packs of blades

    that was my face when I pulled it out of the dumpster!!

    I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

    My best "tool" was a fully functional postal scale that is accurate to .01 pound. It made Ebay and ewaste so much easier!!

    My neighbor gave me 2 socket wrench breaker bars. I've been able to take apart more push mowers and larger engines/and other stuff than ever before since he gave them to me!
