I Pick up all the tires from the shops in my area then take them to a "New & Used Tires shops" they pay me $10 a Tire, They do not take all of them but most they do find useful. The rest I take to the local recycling center (in my town) they let me dump them there for free... (Find the one guy that for 10 bucks will let you do whatever you want in the yard) One time payment that will go a loooong way =)

Here in Ontario we have a company that pays .88c per passenger tire. Any condition.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

saw this special an tv along time ago about this guy that bought some property and found that people had been dumping tires there for years... the guy did some research about possible recycling them as a possible way to get them gone-- well when all was said and done the ended up a multi millionaire creating a recycling business and the tires turned in to "gold" for him... got to love it... when i was 13 worked in a gas station and brake them down with 2 pry bars and a small sledge hammer to break the seal if needed....

I know this is an old thread but check with your state EPA laws on transporting tires. In Ohio you can only transport 10 at a time without a permit.

    Eric
I buy Tantalum Capacitors and offer other services. Check out my thread for more info.
