Just bought a cheap small battery power screw driver from walmart for $10 works well with taking the backs on of CD rom drives. It takes 1/4 size I think it is so I got to go to harbor frieght to get a set so I can start breaking does harddrives.

I'm looking at adding a couple also, but concerned about quality & power (some of those d**n screws take muscle). I've read other threads and comments about this, but haven't taken the plunge. I suppose for $10, time to take a chance.
Its a lightweight tool to use on easy screws so you don't have to use the heavy toll untill you find stubborn ones
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.
My Wife bought herself one a few weeks ago and it works really well. I've started using it also. I told her I was going to put it to the test.
In 4 years of E waste, the best I have found is the Hitachi mid size screw driver and drill set , about 130 bucks or $80 each, I have the $800 dollar De walt set and this one makes me throw rocks at it. Gave it to my Wife. Battery life is more then one day of solid screwing and charges in an hour or less, Ive had it 2 years 0 probs.
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
I brought a cheapo set from a pawn shop. Its ok, helps save time undoing the screws from hard drives etc.
A couple of things I'd look for is, that the screwdriver bit is 'loose' when its not turnng around.
That's so that when you stab the bit into the screw, there's enough slop so the bit seats into the screw head.
Otherwise, when you pull the trigger, you can often strip out the screws head.
That there's some sort of speed control in the trigger, the harder you squeeze it, the faster it goes.
Or once it starts turning around, you are doing nothing, just looking at a slowly unwinding screw...
