For most projects I use 7 in. Multipurpose Stainless Steel Scissors from Harbor freight, very sharp and only $5 before you give them your 20% off coupon! For power supplies I use cable cutters like Victor (channel lock) one cut and your done! Then use multi scissor to lop off connectors. They also cut ribbon connectors off in one bite.

This is a pic of the cable cutters I have.
I forgot, in two cuts I can cut the windings off one of the 2 ferrite peices on a CRT TV tube.

And, by holding one handle and swinging the other around absent mindedly, I could lop off a finger...

    I have a bench style cut-off saw with a 14 inch blade and it's a one motion operation.....Zip Zip and you're done.

yep those are awesome, I use something very similar (double hook blades, just handheld, kind of like electrician scissor handles with those blades) and I use them to cut 25 and 50 pair cat 3 cable. If you guys ever tried cutting through that stuff with an inferior tool, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Here is the pair I am using for most things. Made by Greenlee. Had them a while and use them a lot. Worth the money.
