New truck

I do know the Allison name is their big truck transmissions. I'm not sure on the GM diesel as the last one I had was the
straight Chevy diesel from "82. I would say all the new diesels cost money when they break. Check on the net for who has the best
track record as far as breakdowns. Good luck.

ive been wanting a new hauling truck. was looking at the 2500 hds as well. been thinking about diesels as well but im new to them.

Couldn't agree more! After switching back to a 3/4 ton I wouldn't consider anything less ! And to tell you the truth I'm thinking next truck will be 1 ton.

Sledge. Here's a Prime example. Duramax's are beasts. Million mile duramax, only thing ever wrong was the transfer case. This thing was pulling trailers cross country its whole life for like natural disasters and what not!

yes thats one of the reasons I got it, it pulls really nice. about a week or so after I got it I had the bed full (roughly 1600 or more) then loaded the trailer with warehouse lights and a couple other things, had no trouble taking the hour long trip home and my tow haul doesn't work, trailer doesn't have brakes either haha that day I put about 100mi on the truck with the trailer on it, granted my trailer isn't huge it had no problem pulling that weight
