Alright I gotta tell yall about this little beast

I got a Hilti SCW-18A for 75 bucks on c-list, made to cut wood. Battery powered, 2 batteries, 1 18v 1 22v for same saw. 6 in blade. I got the diablo 6 in "metal cutting" diamond edge blade and put it in it, 30 bucks at home depot. The rpm is correct even though it's a wood cutting saw. Today, definitely not it's first cut, I cut a piece of u-channel or whatever you call it that was maybe 1/8" thick. Used both batteries but it cut. I was halfway into into a piece of solid round 3/4 or 1" when the second battery died. So anyway welcome to the future because you can now cold cut metal stock with no oil out in a field with a battery powered saw and it's saved my butt multiple times.

Not to try to one up on you, but... I have a Ryobi battery 4" angle grinder that will do pretty thick steel with a steel abrasive blade. You have to take it slow, but it will go through stuff too thick for a bolt cutter or tin snips.

Ryobi always coming through. How long does it last? I always thought a battery grinder/sawzall/portaband maybe wouldn't last that long, I have a 12v sawzall and if you push it it will drain the battery really fast.

I use Ryobi 18v in the shop. With the 4ah battery in the sawzall, I can cut radiators for about an hour. The grinder lasts about half an hour.
