Five days ago cyberdan informed us he was going out to purchase a multi meter, . Did he actually purchase the meter or perhaps an impulse purchase on something else in the store.
Kinda reminds me of the fairy tale, Jack and the bean stock where the kid comes home with a magic bean. The suspense is killing me, what did cyberdan purchase.

The 190C plasma does in fact have an onboard air compressor, this machine is capable of cutting catalytic converter exhaust tubing and not much more in the way of metal thickness.
This model is no longer supported by Hypertherm, consumables are no longer available but I'm thinking a newer style gun can be modified to fit. Even of it ends up being junk the small compressor has use as an air bubbler when precipitating metals, such as silver nitrate with copper.
I'll have th check what the duty cycle is for the compressor.
That huge toroid coil would have value to those hobbyists that play with high voltage toys such as Tesla experimented with.
If Cyberdan had stuck this thread out he would have learned how to read a schematic such as the one found on the inside cover of this machine.
The Hypertherm 190C will cut 1/8" all day long and do a severance cut on 1/4" it will operate from a small generator capable of 120 volts with a 20 amp circuit. It'd be my guess this machine was removed from service due to the lack of obtaining the nessesary consumables.
Lookie what I found,
Replacement Plasma Cutter Torch to FIX REPAIR Hypertherm® Powermax 190c PAC105
I mentioned in an earlier thread that people just go missing in that part of the country....he didn't take me seriously
Lol....I agree pretty slow around here
Even I get sidetracked, this morning was planning on going to the Colony to have some steel laser cut for another centrifuge build that I plan on using to clean and de-water waste cooking oil that i use to make soap.
Anyhow the little bit of waste oil that I have on hand to clean can be done by melting it over boiling water, then there's the fact that I'm giving the soap away free to friends and neighbors. No $$$ in that plan.
Now with the many catalytic converter thefts happening in my neighborhood a fellow doesn't dare have a battery operated sazall in his truck for fear of being categorized as a thief. I haven't purchased any cats for the past year.
Fast forward, a new game plan.
There's a seed cleaning plant not far from my home where I can get the waste material free, mostly chaff and weed seeds. i suspect the weed seeds to have an oil content which will help as a binder.
Now you're probably wondering how the hhell is alloy2 going to make $$$ from chaff and weed seeds, simple turn them into pellets for those pellet stoves that all my neighbors have purchased.
Pellets are sold in 40 pound bags, a ton has a value of about $250.00, the machine in this tube video by my estimate can make 500 pounds an hour.
It's home made, I have most of the project figured out, large wrist pins from diesel pistons for the rollers and AR ( abrasion resistant plate ) with laser cut holes for the die. Now that's money well spent.
Actually that is not a photo of me. It is my younger brother, he is the good looking one in the family.
I am just hanging around. Mostly listing and selling on feeBay. Have done real good over the past week.
8000 SIM cards $400.00 cost very little
5 reel to reel tapes from the early 1970's $300 (buy it now) cost .18¢ each
11 reel to reel tapes getting bids. All are up to about $100 total cost .18¢ each
I decided with all the ebay $$ I was going to buy an electric wire stripper. Ordered a CO-Z unit for $160 should be here in a week.
Here I am cyberdan, at yardsales I am dollardan
Well this plan did'nt even get off of the drawing board.
I went to the seed cleaning plant for a sample, wanted to burn a kilogram to see how much ash would be left over, Vern tells me the farmers haul the trash back to the farm as animal feed.
Brought a pail of wheat along with another full of chaff.
