Finally got a GAS AX! (cuttin torch)

I used to work for a farmer and 10 years ago when I was 15, he offered me it for $50, well not really needing it I turned him down. Well called him up 2 nights ago and asked him if he still had it. He said yes, I asked him how much he wanted for it, he said come and get it and its yours! So I went an picked it up. It's a Craftsman before SEARS bought the craftsman name and man o man is she heavy duty. Plus he had put new regulators on it before he got his newer torch set, so the regs have maybe seen 2 tanks of O2 or acetylene. I did however need to get hoses for it, but that's a minor detail. When it came to finding propane cutting tips, wow what a nightmare, nobody in Canada could help me out at all, so I actually found some down in the US and ordered them! Saweet deal! Just gotta wait a while for them to get here now.

I have probably used 6 30lb bottles of propane in my lifetime, yes it cuts different, but if you can run an oxy-acetylene you are ahead of the game. Propane is cheaper, more readily available and lasts WAY longer. I may be young but I am not inexperienced, thats what you get when you have grown up in the country

I seen one guy at the yard using a "large" dogchain bolted on one end and around the torch bottles and a large safety snap on the other end to snap into the mesh.

Ya, I will be taking pipe same diameter as the bottle, cutting it in half, making tabs. Then weld the one half solid to the rack, then have wing nuts on it. One thing I learned today from my welding instructor is always take your regulators off while driving, because you will get a hefty fine from the Police or DOT's, $800 up here for first offense.
