    Red face Omigoshomigoshomigosh! Uncle gave me an air chisel!

    My aunt and uncle live on the property next to my parents and he always sits out and watches when i'm working. today he brought me down an air chisel! WOWZA is that thing freaking AWESOME!!!! I air chiseled the big transformers from the microwaves and its exactly one pound of copper in them I asked the yard to weigh it fo rme so I'd know! I air chiseled rocks, I air chiseled nuts and bolts, I air chiseled some extrusion apart - I air chiseled anything is site!!!!!!!!!

    I've been wordering if an air chisel with a pointed shaft bit would pop the copper out of elec motors once you slice the loops off one side.

    You air chiseled rocks?? lol, sounds like you had loads of fun! Bet it'll make teardowns go alot faster for you too.

    Yep! I pulled the hose as far as it would go and chiseled anything I could find! Oh this is going to make things soooooooooooo much easier and now I can turn those transformers in as copper and steel separately instead of as electric motors at crap cents a pound!! It was perfectly! Knocked that thing apart cleanly!!

    lol attitude.....a video of you air chiseling everything in sight would be hilarious...might even win an award !!! That sounds like so much fun. My nephew has one...maybe I'll borrow it. Can't let you win injun's heart without a fight !! lol

    Lol Joe and Dee!! it IS a lot of fun! This will also be nice for those stubborn grill bolts that dont want to come out! I was gonna air chisel the garage wall but had visions of my dad behind me with the look on his face like that little kid from home alone when he put the aftershave on!!

    I helped a guy air chisel a car apart, he threw it in the back of his mini pickup with a topper, and hauled it to the landfil. Never even considered takin it to the scrap yard, and he hauled aluminum cans there all the time. Probably cause he was accumulatin em at the rate of about 18/day.

    Air chisels are great to take aluminum heat sinks and transformers off of power supply boards. Pop pop, parts start flying everywhere. I have better luck with a sawzall for my larger transformers.

    we haven't heard much from attitude since she posted this...I hope she didn't pop off something she shouldn't......maybe landed in jail or Hoss-ecuted !!!!!
