First I'll give some ideas on where to get free trailer parts, yes free.
Contact some of the local RV storage lots and campgrounds near you, ask the manager if he has any abandoned RV's that he would like to dispose off.
These old trailers are so full of dry rot the owners find it cheaper to rent storage for a couple of months then abandon their property leaving disposal to others.
Plenty of people favor a campground and return year after year they leave the trailer there during their absence. Somewhere along the line another newer or larger unit shows up with the old trailer getting parked out of sight.
This trailer is made from just an acquisition, I gutted the trailer saving the frame and axles, RV trailer axels are to narrow for a car trailer so I cut the spindles off then re tubed them to suit my needs.
The 4 inch channel was a bit light, you will note the picture with the black truck the frame is bowing at the ends, To remedy this problem I welded bridging onto the top rails of the frame.
That old WD9 tractor tips the scales at 8,000 lbs, notice no bow in the frame this time.
The winch needed some help to load the tractor, a block was required.
