I just realized last night that you can use hard drive magnets to stick tools on inside your toolbox. I pulled the back off a few magnets leaving just the magnetic part and stuck them to the top inside of my toolbox. Now I can stick the smaller tools up there and leave the bigger ones on the bottom.
There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

That is not a bad idea, wouldn't work for me, as I have a hard plastic one, but soon changing it out for a metal one. I will definitely give this a shot!Originally Posted by Scrap man

I use these magents in my scrapshed. I just nail them to the 2x4 and then hang my tools from them. I can hang my hammer from one of these strong little buggers.

Stick it in a vice and hit it with a screwdriver and hammer. It pops right off.

I take 2 pairs of pliers, put one pair in the middle and one pair on the end of the backing of the magnet, and twist. Comes right off

HA! I thought you meant off the tool box lid! I was like "is this guy serious?" Took me reading the two responses under it to realize you meant off the hard drive...sorry about that! I actually LOL'd on that one.

When I have been scrapping cars I used a portable toolbox made from 2 icecream containers & 4 microwave magnets.
I put the magnets inside one container & then put the second one inside it.
That way it could stick to anything at any angle & the screwdrivers & sockets & drivers would stay inside it.
Another two magnets in my front pocket saved me from falling backwards off metal piles a few times & were handy to hold screwdrivers & pliers.
Also a good 'stainless checker'. Just tap it against the pocket & you can feel as its attracted to it.

2 magnets, one on the outside, one on the inside. Now you have spots on the outside and inside of the toolbox to stick stuff...

I used to do plastic repairs for a living, super glue was used in 99% of my jobs...
Loctite #401 is the business!!
