Jesus///thats is lmao. Buit i got that beat. Back in the day I used to run the junkyard scene. That is how I got my start as a mech. Anyway we had a kid run around do the little things. He was like 15 or so. I was 19. He had a simple task...go up pull the fuel tank. He wasnt allowed to burn and I had to cut a quarter off. Well about 30-45 mins I go up. I never bothered to look underneath and see if the tank was gone. I jumped in the trunk and started cutting. As soon as I hit the tank...I was blew out of the trunk. Probaly 25 ft. Couldnt see for 15 mins. Luckily no burns but took my breath away. I thought I was dead till my vision came back. ANyway, 15 mins later I get my bearings. I hop in the Omni yard car. Head down to get revenge for almost killing me although it was my mistake not to check. Anyway told the kid hey I need you for something. We hop in. I usually hammer through the yard at 55 or so. Noone cared. I start ramping up to about 75. Kid thought nothing of it. I aimed right at the tire pile. Right before I hit the pil I snapped my belt and before he can say oh ****...we went up and away lo. Gained like 50 feet and did a barrel roll. Funner than a rollercoaster. He baged around a bit got a bump on his eye. That about it.
He goes running down to the owner. I fing quit...Julian is pyscho...ran out the door like lil girl. Left his tools and all. Owner started barking at me like wtf did I do. I told him what happened and I do admit I should have checked, but we all thought he was trustworthy. Not up there smoking a bowl. Owner started laughing his arse off and told me I can keep the tools and kids paycheck if he dont come back in a week. Also take the rest of the week paid.
So I got 3 days off...500 in tools and another 350 from the kids pay...lol. I kinda feel guilty about it now 15 year later, but at least I learned my lesson. Always check somebody's else work and hopefully the kid learned his, because he almost killed me.
