    light bars?

Anyone in here who uses light bars?

I have been shopping for one so when I have to back up on a main road way to get into a spot I can shoot the lights on so people will back off so I can do what I can do..or..that's that I am hoping that will happen backing up a 18foot trailer that side walls that are 7 feet high is not fun when you have people zooming past you like crazy!!

Anyone know a cheap place to buy a full size light bar? New or used

Craigslist, ebay, the paper...does anyone use the paper any more?

Prolly a long shot, but maybe a wrecking yard.

Check out the bigger junk yards Easy, up here they leave them on the vehicles if their older. Check out the old highway trucks, either state or county, should be able to get one for $50. or less. If you end up with red/blue light bar you can buy new yellow lens for them. You can buy a small revolving one for about $39. new but the bulb inside is kind of whimpy, not a real bright light.
Also if you have a large truckstop around you check their store, alot of them carry smaller revolving lights for the guys hauling oversize loads.

Call local towing companies, they might have an old one laying around. The new led full size lightbars run around $1000-$1800. LED's are nice and bright either day or night. Well worth the money(tax write-off). Even if you find 2 small rotators put one on the passenger side and one above the driver side. If I remember correctly the small one's are 15 or 18 inches.

Check jcwhitney.com. Sounds like something they would have.

check out sites like govdeals and publicsurplus if you have accounts with them i see light bars on there every once in a while i got a full led one of a wrecked ambulance for my ramp truck, got it for 100 bucks on gov deals because they did not want to take 5 mins to test it with a battery so nobody was bidding on it. just a thought

I have a few catalogs from them as well. Anything you could possibly need for the towing industry. If you go to the site you can put your info in and they will send you a catalog every few months. JCW is the same way. They are more aftermarket car and truck stuff.
