Are you not required to buy a NTEP certified scale to do business with?
I am required to use an NTEP approved and certified scale for my business as I purchase materials by the Lb. I got my first one off ebay for $600 and its a beast 2x2 5000# max. It weighs eight pounds itself. I have to get it calibrated every year to maintain compliance. I am getting a new 4x4 scale this week and expect it to run me about a grand.

If your weighing very much at once, What we call them is Cotton Seed Scales, usually a rolling platform maybe two x three or so with a balance scale. used to be used a lot at Cotton gins, feed stores, grain facilities.fish markets, etc, etc. the'll weigh up several hundred pounds,it varies.
