Big thanks to everyone for the feedback and advice
Been considering it too and this has given me that motivational kick in the butt to dig a little deeper.
Feonjoe or those in the know...what do you think of this set up for $600?
I have a good set of recovery equipment for sale. Sold my business and am not in need of recovery equipment anymore.
I have for sale:
1) Appion oilless recovery machine, not used too much but was in the truck for a few years and has a few scratches and dings, comes with brand new, sealed recovery cylinder. Works flawlessly. $430 ($700 new)
2) Digital refrigerant scale $75 ($140 new)
3) Digital Robinair thermistor vacuum gauge $115 ($250 new)
4) Yellow Jacket UV dye test kit, with pocket UV light. Used, but in great shape, still some dye left in syringe, 2 low loss hoses for injection. $30
5) an R-22 and R-410a manifold set, with extra R-22 gauges, and a used Nitrogen regulator. $40 takes all.
Sell the whole lot for $600, or individually as priced.
Cash only, face to face sale, and need to see an EPA card or proof of refrigerant handling certification for the recovery machine, cylinder, and manifolds.
KZ, looks like a good deal. The stuff you won't need (digital vaccum gauge and dye test kit) you can sell on ebay. Hopefully it's the G5 and not the G1.
The Robinaire unit is for automotive R-12 only.

I am with Joe sounds like a good deal.
Joe my HVAC shop priced me a G5 unit for 650 ish in December. I wouldnt mind paying that but if I could get one for 550 I would be all over that. I have found them online for the 5 ish price but I aint much on big online purchases.

I have seen them several times on gov or military surplus auctions.
How much can you make off of selling the different sized tanks of refrigerant 30# 50# sizes?
