I think I'm going to order one since I have to weigh out these 8 pallets of material.

Screw it...I ordered it...It'll be here tomorrow. I'll let you know how it works out! I don't think I'm going to be able to do a whole pallet at t atime, but to be able to do 400#'s at a time is a huge improvement for $50.

I would have went with something like this...I know the price tag is ten times the price but trust me it would have saved you so much time, and we all know time is money. I don't know what are going to be in your 8 pallets, but if they are monitors that you are going to be weighing, you are only going to be able to fit one on the scale at a time. This could be very very time consuming, then on top of that recording each weight.

S**T, Shower, Shave...and Scrap
I have a 300 LB scale and there is no way I could weigh a pallet full of material

When buying a scale you need to factor in a few things.
1. Will you be weighing anything for purchase, or just for general reference for your own info?
2. What size will you need
3. How much will you be weighing
4. Where will the scale be, inside or out
If you are weighing anything that will be purchased from people you will want to buy a "Legal for Trade" scale. i purchased a portable one that has a max weight of 600 pounds for $300 bucks. I then took it to the city and paid the fee for them to certify it.
Also be careful with your scale, wild changes in temp, humidity or heavy loads can break it.
Lastly cheap POS scales from amazon or ebay are just that. Don't expect to get more than a few moths from them before they either don't weigh anything properly or are past the ability to re-calibrate them. Believe me i know and i'll never purchase one from their again. The quality difference from the $60 scale and the legal for trade scale i have now while they had the ability to weigh the same amount is beyond mentioning.

I don't have to weigh monitors. Mostly consumer electronics an printers. I have a 75 Desk scale and that just was a huge Pain...
I am buying for purchase, but offer a 5% addition to the total for "Human Error"
This is going to allow me to put quite a bit more on at a time. A "Fill the tub" type scenario. If this scale gets me through this and next month I'm happy. I need to Make some $$$ I've been paying out quite a bit, but haven't seen any $$ coming back in! Of course it's because I haven't sold anything yet..but still!
By the way..Not trying to waste anyones time...I just got impulsive and thought if I can have it here tomorrow I might save myself some hassle.
Yes I bought one of those, it lasted 3 weeks of very light use and then died. Hope you have better luck.

Sry thought it was 600 pounds but it's 250/500.
It's an awesome scale, and Trade Legal!
The picture and description seem a bit outdated. The one i received has more features and buttons than on the one described and pictured. Other than that they are exactly the same.
Even if the people you are buying from are OK with it, you do have to realize they could come after you legally for the scale not being certified for trade. Just a warning to be careful. That is why I give a bulk and not a per pound price when buying. I have a very good idea of average weight and pay per piece, so any receipt I give will show number of items and not specific weights. This may not work for everyone but it works for me.
