Average price to pay for monitors

I know there is different sizes, etc. But what is the average price to pay for pc monitors. I am talking about the older, bulkier types.

Zero here. People are giving them away.
I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said, "How do I look?" Would you say, bearing in mind he's depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say, "Go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny?" No. You'd say, "You look nice... John""

If they give me the tower for free I tell them I'll take the monitor for free. Otherwise there is a $3 charge per monitor.

Let me better explain. There is a local scrapper that lives in my neighborhood. I told him about what I do with monitors, and he asked if I would pay for them. I told him, I would think about it and let him know. So, I was seeing what would be a reasonable price to pay, but to still leave even a small profit.

I would tell him that you cannot pay for them but would take them for free. He will be calling you to come pick them up for free once he realizes he cannot get rid of them.

I give .50 cents each for them in large quanity.....Why not because you can just drop em off for free here at the local dump......50 cents each is nothing and you should be able to make plenty of money

I charge $5. each cause in our area it's illegal for any electronics to go to the landfill. Like was said above, will take one with computers. George why would you buy them when your having trouble getting rid of the leftovers? There isn't that much profit in them,,,

Thanks everyone for their inputs. After reading some articles online, i am roughly averaging a $3 profit (maybe) on them.

Trust me, that I am not actively advertising for the monitors. The scrapper that gives them to me, is an elderly black guy, who just over came some type of cancer and dialysis, so it is my way of helping him out. Plus, he runs all over the place picking up stuff, and said he will give me any towers he comes across. I told him that I would pay for those as well depending on how "complete" they were.

I take them all for free and if the glass is broke there is a $20 fee for disposal.

George, I went to dialysis tonite and one of the nurses brought me a TV, I had to get it out of her car before I came home. I had given her a card and she asked" I see it says you don't take TV's but I have a 25" I don't want to pay to get rid of". Because she is my nurse and takes good care of me I said ok, just this time. See, we have them coming out of the woodwork,,

If you pay over $1 for each monitor you're on the losing end of an already losing game.

It's awesome what you're doing for that old man. Now it may all feel warm and fuzzy for a while, which is great. But remember, you both need to be smiling at the end of the deal...but you need to be smiling more. I'd say pay him .50 cents a piece for them. That's a pretty decent situation. If he brings you a truckload, he gets $10-$15, and you still get to make money.

Dont shoot yourself in the heart trying to heal anothers.

    Good luck buddy.

Mech, unrelated, my neighbor goes to dialysis all the time. I give him rides too and from, go pay his bills for him, shoppin, so on and so forth. He doesnt have barely any strength to walk, let alone lift up a TV.

Obviously his health is worse than yours. Glad to see you're still up and runnin mech.

It was kind of a struggle just coming out of there cause I usually feel a little dipsy (more than usual) walking across the parking lot. But I backed my car right up close to her's so about all I had to do was slide it out the back of her SUV and right down into the trunk of the ole' Taurus. That heat last week about kicked my butt as I take a bunch of blood pressure med's and somehow the sun and heat just screws with my walking straight, almost look like I'm drunk walking around. Maybe that's why everyone was looking at me funny as I was walking into W*lmart. Can't wait too do a breathalyzer from an overzealous officer. LOL How's "Dad" doing?? No hijacking intended,,

Well i'm glad you're still scootin' around!

Old man's doin alright. "Fair to partly cloudy" as he'd say. Some days are worse than others, some days he's rockin'. You just never really know. But the important thing is, is he wakes up every mornin and draws breathe.
