    Can you make money scrapping the glass from computer monitors

    i come across alot of computer monitors and i wanted to see if it would be worth it for me to scrap them, can you make money on the glass tube after you strip everything out of the monitor? if so does anyone know a place that buys them in jersey, thanks

    Most of the time you'll have to pay to get rid of them unless your garbage men will pick them up with the rest of the trash.

    your lucky if you can find a place that takes them for free, more than likley your gonna have to pay to have them processed

    Agreed. You will more than likely need to find somewhere such as a goodwill that can take them. Unless you have a crapton of them and are real close to a refiner that handles them.

    I take them to my townships recycling center after I take them apart, my goodwill dont like to take them.

    Only Goodwills that are designated as "Reconnect Centers" take electronics in any shape. The others will only take working electronics or none at all. You must call ahead to find out if any of your local goodwills will accept them.

    My goodwill is part of the reconnect program and said they are longer accepting them from me. They said since I am a business they can't accept them. The program is for customers only. I bring in 5-10 per week for over 1 year. I contacted the Director in the State of Wisconsin and he said if I put them on pallets and shrink wrap them they will unload them at their dock, but no more 3 or 4 per truck I was bringing. It is too much work for the employees. Good thing I have access to a truck for this.
