Lead content in monitors

Found this great links about the amount of lead inside the glasses of monitors.

I like the info but what exactly are you going to do with that information. It's not like you can extract the Lead yourself, or can you?

Yes I do know of the flux that once mixed with lead oxide and glass, it would extract lead from the mix in the furnace.
