    The answer depends on your personal situation. I personally break each monitor down because I have more time on my hands than material. I also have a place that takes monitors for free once they have been broken down. So in my situation, it well worth my time and effort to break them down. I would say if you have the time and can dispose of the monitors in an enviromentally safe way after they are broken down, then continue to break them down.
