    CRT tube disposal

I thought I'd start a thread sharing my attempts to find a place to dispose of CRT tubes, hoping that others will share as well.

The following were quoted for 20,000-30,000lbs of CRT tubes.
Dlubak charges $.15/lb FOB Sandusky, OH Whole units (not bare CRT tubes)
Intercon Solutions charges $.20/lb FOB Chicago Heights, IL Whole Units
Intercon Solutions charges $.25/lb FOB Chicago Heights, IL Intact CRT tubes (no plastic or metal)
Intercon Solutions charges $.35/lb FOB Chicago Heights, IL Crushed
Intercon Solutions said they can handle all freight for $.03/lb. I'm located in WA state
Closed Loop Refining charges $.09/lb FOB Phoenix, AZ Bare CRT tubes

Additionally, some Goodwill locations accept them.
Staples recycles Dell equipment for free
Best Buy takes ones smaller than 32" and charges $10 but gives you a $10 gift certificate

I have a few other places I need to call today including Universal Recyclers and Total Reclaim and will update those when I get the info - they aren't responding to email requests...
