    600+ CRT Monitors (Aiken, SC)

Didn't know if anyone was near Aiken or Columbia SC. Saw this post on CL. Really don't think it's worth it, but I'm still new so figured would share the info.

    CL post:
we have 600+ crt monitors for sale. asking $5.00 each or if you want to purchase a bulk quantity let us know and we can work out a deal

From doing a search and reading older post it looks like you can get about 1 to 1.5 lbs copper and some alum heat sinks per monitor. Current copper in my area is 2.77 lb. So they would have to come off the price to make it worth it. Would any of ya'll touch this? I know I'm not due to price / time constraints. Have my hands full with storage units.

There were a couple of links posted recently on the Gold Refining Forum when someone asked about disposing of monitors.

I have no idea if the links are any use to you guys in the US.
If they prove to be rubbish, let me know and i'll delete my post to prevent any new members going off on a wild goose chase.
