    CRT Monitor outlet for Ecyclers

I've been looking for a safe way to dispose of CRT monitors in anticipation of obtaining these, and as most of you know, these CRTs are pretty much the number one pain to deal with when it comes to E-cycling.

In no way am I endorsing this company but for those of you who are coming into a large quantity of CRT monitors and paying a great deal to get them processed safely, this might be a $ saver for you. All you have to do is get the CRT's to their facility and they will accept it at no charge. Draw back is that they don't accept Just the glass, so you can't send in gutted monitors, they must be whole. Also, they are not currently accepting TVs.

They have some kind of a deal with manufacturers and need to provide a certain number per month in order for this arrangement to keep working so they are currently LOOKING for these things. I forgot to ask if they require a minimum but I can't imagine so if we're taking care of the shipping.

They are also purchasers of Escrap but their prices don't look all too favorable compared to the buyers on this forum. They seem to be more of a giant disassembly warehouse.

Also, as a reminder, easy recycle has stated before that he can broker a deal for anyone interested that gets large amounts of tv's and crt's and you both would make money......... Just keep that in mind, we all could make money off of crt's and tv's. If you want to process them yourself computer scrapper would probably help you understand how.......we don't need to lose money with crt's at all!

OHHHHHHHHH ok. Yeahhhh, i dont know. The only units id want to get rid of "whole", would be the wood case tv's, big screens, and the LARGE tube tv's. (30 inch and above).

Yea, and shipping would be killer on those big honkers,,,I just checked with my local Goodwill and explained that I recycle tv's and monitors and they said they will take just the glass if I put it back into the plastic case, kills two birds with one stone for me.

Good Information! What I plan on doing is charging $10 to remove all TV's and Monitors 32 inches or less, taking them apart to get the board and yoke, putting them back together and taking them to my local Best Buy. They accept all TV's and monitors under 32 inches for free (up to three per day, per person).

Youbetter check with best buy. I know the local one here will not take them if gutted. And no prgiva. i pull up the guy and the help come out unload me and hand me a slip im in an out in 5 mins. they load them straight into gaylord boxes for their recycle project. Never ask to see my ID or anything. I would however suggest you call your local goodwill and ask to speak to manager about what you plan to do. Not all goodwills perteicpate in this program.

Good call PTS, I was told that as long as the glass is not busted out and the casing is together they will take them. I will check before.

Each Goodwill is different; as PTS suggested, give yours a call. For instance, mine will take up to 10 CRTs a week from me if the glass is intact. They don't ask for ID or where I'm from. It all depends on what your store's manager says.

We will buy them if they are on a pallet and stacked up with the cords wrapped up. We will buy them for $0.20 each.

Right now thats the best we can do on them...but we are working with someone else that may let us offer a little more cash.

Would that be counting the cost of the glass? Reason why they are buying the black ones as there are some people who are still buying old crt screens. But they want them to be black only.
