    Glow Plugs

well the temprature has finally dropped and it seems that all i have been doing at the shop is changing glow plugs, and i got to thinking. Since glow plugs are selling from $10 to $30+ a piece new is there any scrap value in them other then tossing them in the shread pile?

They are mixed metals and rare eath metals like inconel, you would do better saving them up and selling them to a refiner than selling them as shred. If you get any platinum spark plugs save those also, theyre worth about $1 each as scrap to a refiner.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Any idea how many or how much weight of glow plugs and spark plugs is needed to sell? I figured it would be easier to get an answer here, than for 20 people to ask the question via pm.

What is in thermostats that makes it worth saving? I googled thermostats and it talks about a wax pellet, but does not specify what it is made of.

I think its just copper/brass/steel. I think they are to contaminated to sell as dirty brass. I figuring eventually i will have a couple 5 gal buckets full and i can send them off to somone. Along with all the brass sensors i pull out of engines.
