Supposed to get a Freebie.. It got Stolen!

Ok.. I will work to make the rant short.

Last fall a woman who is a very near and dear friend of mine said she had an old truck out at her dads farm that I could have for FREE!! I was so stoked, so I worked to make arrangements with her in the fall to get it.. She says "Well, would you mind just waiting until the spring.. its not going anywhere." I said "sure thing", her property, her vehicle, I'm thankful for her kindness.. and let the winter come and go. He had recently passed away and it appeared the loss was too fresh for me to ask more than once after she offered.

Well Spring has finally sprung for good here in Indiana (I think) so today with it being warm, sunny and bright (As well as I'm on a huge Earth Day kick) I send her a text and ask if I could make arrangements with her to get that truck out at the farm. Her response to me was shocking.. She said "It has mysteriously disappeared.. Not Happy"



So basically, her father passed away, the estate was being handled through the fall and winter, and in the meantime, someone decided to go onto private property and steal this truck for their own gain. I know that competition is fierce around these parts.. but I had no idea that it had resorted to people stealing vehicles off private property!

Bummed.. for humanity, for this lady and her kindness, and bummed on my end as I had one freebie that has "gotten away"
