Scrapping forklifts and pallet jacks

Hi Im relatively new to scrapping. Ive had good luck with batteries and copper cable but being a forklift mechanic by trade I come across quite a few junk forklifts, pallet jacks (electric and manual) and all sorts of material handling equipment that the owners have deemed not worth fixing. Ive partially scrapped pallet jacks before, motors, cables contactor tips etc and left the frame/body because my work would frown upon me for loading it up into my service van. I was thinking about picking up a 16' equipment trailer and I have a 3/4 ton van to handle the bigger forklifts. Has anybody srcapped a whole jack or forklift? Is it worth the effort?

From what I've seen, skid loaders are fairly simple machines. I know that my father has bought, repaired, and then resold countless numbers them. I would look into repairing them before scrapping them. Maybe spend a couple hundred bucks, but you get a much larger return. Just my $.02

My first scrap run was an old fork lift with no forks. I had the yard's flat bed pick it up and I still got $700 @ .10/lb Ya it's worth it
