Tires are worth keeping and listing as long as they are good. I've got a good collection of them now, they have been handy and have used them to barter with.
Keep the crap ones to put back on the vehicles going the yard. Its the only way I can scrap them.

God knows what else Im missing. And i don't buy cheap crap. But they still keep failing prematurely. 50 bucks gets me to Toronto and back, cruising at 105. Empty. I think the tires have a lot to do with it. im hoping.

Allllll that crap, and i still love the darn thing... The sound... Ohh bud. Gets me every time.
typical dodge problems, i have a couple inches of play in the wheel too. mine shaft right after the pitmen arm on the box, if i keep it packed with grease she stays some what tight. i've had to do everything on mine too. and i have 400 worth of parts waiting to be picked up at the dealer. but it works for me. 50 bucks to go to toronto and back from barrie isn't all that bad. i'm going from uxbridge to new market couple times a week and over to port perry to the yards 20 or 30 a day. looking at your profile pic your truck is in alot nicer shape then mine. mine seems to run better with half ton in the back. ya you will notice a difference with smaller tires, when i got mine it had 245s on it and it just looked silly. but its an extra couple inches i have to lift scrap lol i have a list a mile long of stuff that doesn't work right lol but its a work truck, and a daily driver.

She's good from afar but far from good... Box is shot. Fenders are shot. Doors are rotting. The rockers and cab corners are good though. Knock on wood. Id love to be able to fix the body up a bit... Oh well.

She's a dog with a load. Idk if your ever up barrie/oro way but when Im loaded with a car, there's a grade before the 3rd line just past gasoline alley, i gotta get up to at least 120 or else the 4 ways go on and i crawl up. Just no power at all. Iv got transports passing me up a hill. Talk about embarrassing. I think my trannys shot or on its way anyways. That's gonna be painful.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

you should look for boost leaks, i had a seal completely rotten away between my heater grid and intake horn...that solved half it. the new torque converter helps, still slow in the hills when towing over 3ton

Collecting 3000$ worth of parts is one thing but selling them is Another. To me none of the parts are worth 5$ until its sold, unless I have a use for em, so generally I don't pull a part one until its sold. Keeps my storage clean of stuff I might not sell for 10 years and keeps me in the black by keeping my money from being tied up. Ive not had much luck selling most parts I've pulled, got a 302 motor and trany I've pulled well over 2 years ago, so I dont get too carried away pulling parts, unless it's a 75-87 Chevy that is !

That's exactly why I'll never pay more than a couple hundred bucks for a car. Sure the values there, but who knows how long you'll have to wait. There's a GREAT site called car-part.com where you can list any part you have and almost every mechanic shop uses that site. BUT you need to be an auto wrecker to list part on their site. Which i think is total crap. They won't even let me sign up under my families shop name. If i could use that site or a site like that to get my car parts out there to more than the regular Joe on kijiji or CL id feel comfortable paying more.

Turns out its coming from the right front wheel... From the drivers seat it sounds like its coming from behind you. But i let the girlfriend drive it down some back roads today, and noticed it was up front from the pass seat. Thats a relief. Last thing i wanna do is rip the rear end apart.

****ty hub assembly. good news its easy to do, i had mine off last year when i did my ball joints. don't go cheap, spicers are good 3 year warrenty and moogs are life time. but cost a arse load more.

just picked up a 03 sunflower in oshawa, got it for 200. i told him if i could drive it on the trailer i'll give him 200. he spent 15min trying to get the key to turn lol....but he got it started with a boost. and got a call from a friend her 02 stana fe is toast. going to pick it up tomorrow. things are moving things are good. specially after that 2 months of trying to scrape together transmission money in the spring.

the E brake was locked right up on the back left tire....i threw it in reverse and stomped on her, it dragged for about 10ft and BOOM, she let go and up she went on the trailer. i was working the truck pretty hard on the way back on the hills making her smoke a bit and my cheap water pressure gauge from TSC I'm using as a fuel pressure gauge kicked the bucket. every time the truck would go into overdrive it would start buzzing like crazy,i had to crack the windows so the tire hum would drown it out lol

Im weary about payin that much for a sunflower or crapalier. You really make enough off em after payin 200, fuel, etc?

Gonna have it into the shop this week to see exactly what it is. Gotta take the truck to sudbury next weekend, dont want issues up there. And my truck wont smoke an ounce. Has a fass HPFP 150. So its gettin fuel. But not a puff of smoke at all. Im assuning its a good thing. Not wastin fuel ahaha sometimes i wish it would though....

    1.00 USD = 1.02970 CAD

Ok so you guys are about the same as USD, Yeah on a Sunflower as you call it.. Last pull was turn in of all items was $503 at $220/ton on a $240 buy on the car. So if you are paying $200 you can net nearly $300 on one if you do it up!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
