Finally snagged a Runner.. Kids got to hear Van run with no Converters!

So Took the family out today with me for a small road trip to snag a van. The thing had a blown head- I didn't assume it ran.. as I get there the guy was pulling it out of the back of his house as I walked up. So I get her home and the first thing I always do is cut the converters off so someone doesn't come by and do it for me.. if ya know what I mean. But since it ran I told the kids "Hey you guys want to hear what a vehicle sounds like without converters on it?" Of course my son was like "YEEEAH!!!!" My daughter plugged her ears and cried.

Created so much racket with it the neighbor came down and we started shooting the bull.. he said "Umm I have 3 old car batteries that have been sitting in my basement since I've owned the house (14 years) you can have em if you want em!"

    Double score day! Whoot Whoot!

    Wanted to share!

Had a friend that decided he wanted to take the headers off his 1980s chevy truck and drive to school one day. That, was awesome.

But yeah I love when i get runners too. I always drive the living crap out of them before i pull em in the shop. One last hoorah before they get the claw LOL
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Ain't nothing more fun than beating the piss out of a hooptie car ! I perfected my Rockwell technique last winter with a deer hit park ave. And burn outs are a must less the tires are good enough to sell !
