Man oh man what a day.So i bought 3 cars at the auction picked up 2 and processed them yesterday. One was a buick and the other a 02 explorer that was burnt to the ground to say the least.Well it had a few converters on it which was a little bonus.I didnt know if it did or not since i couldnt see under it when i inspected cars the other day.

So today i haul them in well the explorer had no vin as it had melted off since it was a total burn. But my receipt had the vin on it so they copied that.Well they run the vin and it came back stolen first time in 7 years i have ever had one come back stolen.
So i sat and waited for 1 hour then the police finally showed up.The car showed clear or whatever but it was still a **** headache let me tell you lol.

Good story. Always wonderer "what if..." would be a nightmare for sure if one would ever turn up stolen. I also recently picked up an '02 exploder. Same model from '02-'05. Yet another"could be road worthy vehicle" that you know I have a hard time to scrap but will anyway because there is always more around the corner.Good to know its got a few convertors 'cause I didn't look under mine either. Too much snow and cheap enough that it would not matter anyway. What are you getting for them convertors? Its always nice to have a comparible. And I like and respect your input on these things.

Are you thinking strait scrap or try to sell transfer case/parts on ebay or other?

Well mine didnt have anything left to sell lol.

If i where you i would pull the visors head and tail lights.Mirrors center console lid and sell that stuff on ebay.
The converters i dont know 1 is a honey comb i know worth $45-55 the other 2 i dont know i have never had them before. They look like a wire but have a biscuit in them.I would think that they are just a pre which is anywhere from $25-$35.

The wheels i got off of it where half wheels lol the rest was melted to nothing lmao.

Man oh man.So i go this morning and pick up 2 cars come home porcess them take extra stuff off to try and sell to ras and get that done.So i haul them in and the place says oh we can take this one but not this one which was a 96 thunderbird that was wrecked to ****.I say why not oh it has a ohio title i say it was sold without a title with a bill of sale only they say that dont matter we have to have a title.I get $240 per ton there. So i leave and have to haul it somewhere else where i get $205 per ton and they buy it no problem. So i text and tell me buyer that i sold it for $205 and he says ok i will give you $250 per ton on your next 4 cars too make up the difference.

**** i couldnt ask for a better deal than that but it was still a headache. But i am glad he is giving me a extra $10 per ton on the next 4 cars too make up for that and thats why i love them down there lol

Make sure the next 4 are e-350 clubwagons or better lol
We don't even need a title up here, they will take down the vin and have you sign a form. But then again I am only getting 170 now.

Yeah they dont need a title either but something about ohio cars that they have to have a title no matter what. The have a hell of a system when they put the vin in it.Like if a car shows up stolen then it shows them that right then and there there system doesnt mess around lol.

The other place took it no problem but still it was a headache.
Today i hauled in a ford explorer and a toyota camry didnt do too bad on them.Monday i have a jeep grand cherokee to pick up and then i am done for the week.

I went today and sold my used tires and he bought a couple of steel rims i had also for alittle extra money.

Well i got 7 cars this week.Hauled 2 in friday and 2 in on saturday. On the way home saturday i stopped by the repo lot to get my check and within 3 minutes of being there someone pulls in gets in my truck and steal $780 out of it that i had just got from them cars.
Now by the time i sell everything i will have that money back but now i am doing and did all of that work for free.

But you can take my money but can't take my happiness and its money i will make more of it.

Iv had kids break into my cars way too many times. First time, my fault. Didnt lock the doors. All other times they must have picked them or something. (Not hard. I do it all the time at work when people lock keys inside.) Time for a stake out this summer. Gonna have a nice chat with some of the local a-holes sooner than later.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
