Well the truck laid down.I think the lift pump went out.I am going to try to get it going in the next few days.**** diesel problems lol
Well got the new lift pump on it today and it is now fixed.Oh yeah back on the road.
Man with the holidays and stuff coming up i havent done anything but need to get something going lol.
Well my trans in the truck is slipping and i am hoping it makes it through the winter.I can have it converted to a 5 speed for $2500 which isnt bad then i wouldnt have to worry about that for quite sometime.
Also today i went to a huge equipment auction to try to buy some scrap equipment and boy oh boy that is a totally different world.Stuff sold way way over scrap prices.I guess most buyers bought this stuff to part it out which would be great money i guess. But i have no clue on the big stuff.
I think i am going to learn more about it though
does anyone know much about the big equipment stuff?

want to play with the big boy's eh'
what would you like to know? i'm no expert but spend a good deal of time in and around these machines. dozers, excavators and such.
If you have enough heavy equipment around here, the yard comes to you![]()
There ain't nothing wrong with an honest days work. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool.- Old Man
yeah i just dont know what sells best for scrap and what you can buy and part out.

Still getting 3 - 5 cars a week averageOriginally Posted by Focker
My driveway a little crowded today
I got the red caravan out today,
As you can see we pull batteries, Alternators, starters, Radiators, AC Condenser, and as much wire as we can get
Then we do the Dash board, for the wire and cooling and heating heat exchangers.
I have found easiest to go thru the floor for the cat on the caravans
and the Jeep went out today ,
The Honda will go first thing in the AM tomorrow
Blue Toyota truck I am keeping to use as a beater vehicle >> I have to put a cat on it, someone stole the cat before I towed it
The 94 Ranger Pickup is only 2 wheel drive and needs a clutch, only 50K original miles 1 owner, I might keep that or do the clutch and sell

The 06 Caravan runs and drives 200K miles >> I have that on Craigs
2006 06 Dodge Caravan PARTING OUT
Taurus runs and drives BUT I can't find the title >> So I think I will be scrapping that on Monday
The Buick is another 1 owner car, needs some brake work
All the above photos taken on my new phone Samsung Note 4
Takes better photos then my camera
My son set up a drop box account and when I take a photo with the phone the photo goes right into the drop box on the computer
So REALLY easy to up load

Hey johnC, if you dont already, make sure you save the body control modules off those caravans/town and country's. They are worth a nice little bit on Ebay. The transmissions are usually worth something to if you're feeling ambitious. Will your yard take the Taurus without a title? Or do you have to chop it up?

With my yard >> As long as the vehicle is at least 10 model years old >> No title >> No Problem
Just hate squishing a good running vehicle
I don't have the time or energy to pull the trans's
The ECM's and other cores I pull based on what RAS core is paying for them, I do sell some on eBay using the same ID I use here
Yeah i like that phone.I still want just the note 2 lol. What cell service do you have?
On the caravan's the last few i have got i have been able to unbolt them so not to bad on that.
Have u had much luck with ras core lately?I always run into i am 1 number off so it is worthless. They are supposed to be changing it where part numbers dont matter. It is in the beta stages now.I cant wait for that.
I have only bought 4 in the last 2 months.I dont do much in the cold and with all of the holidays didnt have anytime. Now i am sick and trying to get over this lol.

Verizon for the cell service
I was VERY pleasantly surprised with RAS
I go to NJ for Thanksgiving week so the Thursday before that I loaded the truck and took the drive to RAS >> a little more then an hour
There was a truck in there being counted and I was next in line, about an hour later truck pulls out and I am ready to pull in, guy waves me off, I guess you can do appointments now and there was a guy pulling in that had an appointment.
Ras guy says it will be at least another hour, so I asked him to drop a Gaylord behind my truck and he could count it in when he had the time and send the check to me in NJ
Wasn't really expecting much > Maybe 3 - 400 > Check was for $685.00
So rather then waste the gas and my time going down there, next load, say 2nd week in Feb, I am just going to have them pickup the Gaylord here and send me the check
I just looked up my car count from last year and man was it low.I was lazy all year lol. This year though i am going to do alot more and keep busy

Cars have been $135.00 for a couple months,
Dropped today to $120.00 a ton (2000 pounds) so .06 a pound
RAS never called me back about doing a pickup, so I will travel there on Thursday
Yeah i just got a call today that cars went down $70 per ton making them now at $150 per ton.
But some other yards in the area are at $110-$115 so i am lucky i get $150 but still thats **** low
