The issue we have here in north america is in order to sell directly to a refinery, cutting out the middle man, you need hundreds of cats. So for me its not worth it. I need quick turn around and cant wait a year or 5 to save up enough cats. I still get great pricing from our guy. Had 60 to sell recently, got around 3000 for them. An average of 50 a piece. There where about 7-8 aftermarkets in there too. As well as some that where half burnt/melted out. He seperates them im piles. Had a pile of about 6-7 that where 100 each.

Now if i where to sell that to a refiner, how much more would i have really made? Not enough to make me save up for years IMO. Me, and a bunch of other guys on here like to get our material in and get paid. I dont like sitting on stuff if i dont have to.

If you do a high volume of cars, and i mean like hundreds a year, then maybe it could be worth your while, but judging by your post, and correct me if im wrong, it sounds like you dont do hundreds per year. But if you do want to look into selling to refiners, let google help you out. I can come up with dozens here in north america just by searching on google. Send a few emails, make a few calls and Good luck!
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

On an average year for me to handle between 500/600 plus is quite normal but due to the economic climate still being poor last year i struggled to 350. I seem to find the UK based refineries just loads of annoying middle which i refuse to deal with.
