    Saturn parted out

After receiving my newer Honda civic courtesy of my mom, I decided to part out my 97 Saturn SL2. Resale of parts was really high and part removal was simple. Engine took a whole 2 hours to remove. Here is what I got so far....

twin cam engine minus accessories $150
    Engine Cradle $35
    Rear Disc Brakes $125

Then I returned some rather new parts I just bought for it,

    Alternator $110
    Tensioner Pulley $70
    Brake Caliper $70

So far I sold $310 worth of parts and $250 worth of parts returned. I have about another 10 people that want to pick over the car for smaller parts, then the body goes to the junk yard. Probably get $125 to $175 for the body alone, plus another $100 or so for the stainless exhaust system and cat. I also kept the Rims and tires for my Honda but have had several people wanting to buy the set.

Im going to keep this post updated and these cars seem to always get junked and their seems to be quite a large market for second hand parts. I only paid $1000 for the car a year and 40K miles ago.
Scrap Yards call me crazy when I pull up with a ton of steel in my Saturn sl2.....
