2008 F-350 DPF filter

A friend gave me a dpf filter off his 2008 f-350.

He took it off at 50,000 miles.

Are these things worth anything?

I called my local scrap yard and they said I would get shred price only for it.

0.09# here. All it is is a ceramic or silicone filter with a steel shell. Check and see if its a single use or a clean and reuse filter. If its a reuse filter, try selling it. Unless they fall under the same laws as cats where you cannot resell them.

The filter isn't worth anything you need the converter then your talking some good money

The 6.4 Ford DPF from the 08-10 6.4 diesels is worth about 40 bucks by itself. The small front cat is indeed much better. The 6.4 DPF is a huge, heavy thing that does contain some catalyst material, but it's low-grade material.
