Doing an alignment yourself won't matter. Alignment isn't really anything the adjuster can see anyway. If it was repairable all he'll look for is to see if there was an impact on the wheel/tire and if there was he would write for an alignment then. Plus, even if you paid, you could be reimbursed for it since you're mitigating your damages, provided it was justified and again, there are signs of impact on the wheel/tire. Either way doing your own alignment won't interfere with anything.
