Congratulations, you certainly can't beat the price
Believe it or not, many Cavaliers of that year can have a $200 converter! I actually get more of the good ones from Cavaliers/Sunfires than I do bad or mid-grade ones. Definitely chop that thing off if it's OEM. It will either be a Large Flow (round with a "fin" around the edge, marked with the word FLOW), or a Roundloaf (fairly plain-looking cylindrical cat). I can help you with ID once you remove it. Large Flow and Roundloaf converters BOTH have some VERY good numbers that are quite common.
They made a lot of these cars, and there are still a lot of them on the road, so you should do well selling parts from it as well.
