Catalytic Converter question

I am wondering if there is a website or app that helps identify what type of cat is on a particular car. I run across alot of cars for sale, working at a shop. It would be nice if I could look the cat up to get a general idea of what I can get our of the car. I bought an 06 Saturn Ion2 for $250 and it sold for $650 the next day. With my profit I bought a 98 Prelude for $355 and sold it for $550 the next day to the same guy. I know that's real good money for no work, but I also know I won't be able to do that everytime. There are 3 right now I could buy but there is a slim margin for profit unless they have a cat that could make it worth my wild. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have seen the sites just haven't thought of printing them. Any sites you would recommend or feel I should shy away from? My sister has a 2002 Trailblazer with a bad trans and high miles. She wants me to help her get the most she can get out of it. After having it on CRAIGSLIST a month I'm leaning towards junk in it. Things like this is when the binder would come in handy. It would save me 60 miles of driving to crawl under it to see which cat is on it.

I wouldn't depend on a chart ONLY as information for kind of Cat on the Car

Too many after markets, Empties and straight pipe vehicles on the road

Don't count your chickens until they are hatched OR Your Cats until you have cut it off and verified it is an original with the material still in it

I have been burned more then once pricing the car expecting a nice Bread Loaf and finding an after Market or straight pipe

We carry a jack and check every car for a cat before we even pull the ramps on the trailer > Live and learn

Thanks for the advice. I am pretty sure my sisters trailblazer has the original cats because she would have brought it to me to take to the muffler shop. I certainly don't know that they aren't burnt out. Guess we will cross our fingers and get the plasma cutter or Sawzall out.

+1 with John, been scammed a few times from customers and yards. Always cut on both sides nice and close so you can inspect it visually as some shops are real good at sealing up hollow out jobs or blending in aftermarket cats.

I too am working on a picture/catalog setup, finally got a good buyer for them but no proper catalog/pictures to help narrow it down once I confirm its legit.
