    Auto rims

What does your yard grade clean auto rims as? I can take a load in one time and its 3' prepared, and the next guy grades it as #1 cast( I never complain). Just wish I knew for sure!

If they are steel it's short iron and if it's aluminum I get clean aluminum prices.

I go to a core buyer and if it is:
    Free of Valve Stems
    Center Caps
    Wheel Weights

    I get .85 cents/lb
    If I left those things I'd get .75 cents/lb
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

Yeah I always clean mine. Seems strange they give 2 different prices. I average around $10 each for my clean al rims.

    dwaggs-
It's like everything in scrapping generally- more work you do, more "contamination" you remove before it goes to the mill, the better your pricing.
