pressure washing motors / trans for shipment

As the questions says, what is the best to pressure wash a engine or trans? I need to prepare one for shipment monday and it is one dirty birdy. I do have a homeowners grade pressure washer, but it usnt cutting the grease. I even have it tapped into my hot water heater. I was thinking over cleaner, but then saw online that it will eat aluminum. So what do you suggest? I did soak in a 409 type substance and that didnt help.

I would take it to a self serve car wash and use the high pressure soap.
