    Scrap Cats

I did some research and I found a local cat buyer. I have the catalyst because we gutted an old ram for a friend, old diesel cat and a Mercedes sprinter cat and pre cat. The guy quoted me 3 dollars on the gutted cat, 5 bucks on the old diesel, and have not got a quote for the Mercedes yet. Do these seem right for todays prices?

He also is buying alternators for 3 dollars a crack. Seem right to what everyone else is getting?

I tried searching but did not come up anying with the Sprinter cats. So I figured Id just lump everything into one post.

Loose cat material brings very little, as there is no way for the buyer to confirm what it came from, and certain cats contain lots of precious metals while others have very little. So if you have a bucket of loose honeycomb, I'm not surprised by that price. That price for alternators doesn't seem horribly out of line for a straight across the board price. If you can find a good core buyer, they'll pay more for certain high demand items.
