    Transmission recycling

    I have no experience at scapping so please help me with information been searching for. I have a transmission out of a Subaru and have no idea if metal or aluminum could someone tell me the truth(been told both ways)? How much is the pricing going for any idea? How is it figured? any and all information would be helpful thanks.

    Transmissions contain both aluminum (cast) and iron. It's called "dirty" aluminum, irony aluminum, or "transmission". It usually pays $.08 to $.15 per lb, depending on your location.

    yep transmissions or dirty cast alum, a little better than dirty alum
